ABOUT ABOUT

Pullman.vs.Paxton Productions presents LIZZIE: A Rock Musical in 40 Whacks!

Book, Music, and Lyrics by Steven Cheslik-DeMeyer, Tim Maner, and Alan Stevens Hewitt

SYNOPOSIS

In the dog days of 1892, Lizzie Borden took an ax…and, well, you know the rest. Muckraking journalists made her a bicoastal media sensation overnight. An all-out spectacle, the show’s provocative delivery oozes attitude and simmering tension with a kinetic urgency that hums under the surface. Using a gasoline-soaked rock score, and based on the historical record, LIZZIE explores the strange alchemy leading up to the murders, Lizzie’s controversial acquittal of all charges, and the creation of a new American myth.

ABOUT PULLMAN.VS.PAXTON PRODUCTIONS

P.V.P is a 501c3 non-profit collective of musicians, artists, and event producers. Our artistic selections speak to our vision of what a theater-going experience should be in 2024 – uninhibited and disruptive. Rule breaking. As an extension of our artistic mission, we make sure to donate a large portion of our proceeds from each production to LGBTQIA+ and LGBTQIA+ ally non-profit agencies such as the It Gets Better Project, Peace for the Streets by Kids from the Streets, Gay City Health Project, Freedom to Marry, and the Human Rights Campaign. Our most recent production of Heathers: The Musical in April 2018 celebrated a sellout run and donated $3000 to It Gets Better Project. We've also had a lot of success with “one-night-only” or short run productions in prominent music venues and non-traditional theater spaces in Seattle including The Rocky Horror Show at the Showbox Market (raising over $8,000 for Gay City) and a sell-out performance of Hedwig & The Angry Inch at The Crocodile in 2011, where in conjunction with Rudy’s Barbershop, The Stranger, and Cupcake Royale, we raised more than $10,000 for IGB Project.
